As part of the Government of Kenya’s commitment to raise the profile of agriculture among youth in Kenya, the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries (MoALF) in Kenya together with its partners in the agriculture sector will be conducting County Consultations on the newly developed Youth in Agribusiness Strategy 2017 – 2021.
This is an initiative supported by the Government of Kenya and Council of Governors through the Intergovernmental Coordination Mechanism of the Agriculture Sector in Kenya. The purpose of this exercise is to map young individuals/ youth groups that are directly engaging in any part of the agriculture value chain as an agribusiness venture in Kenya .
It is a prerequisite exercise to enable us plan on which youth/ youth groups to visit during the County Consultations on the Youth in Agribusiness Strategy which is scheduled to take place country wide from 19 March to 25 March 2017.
If you are a young person/ youth group involved in any part of the agriculture value chain, and you would like the team to visit your agribusiness venture, please fill out the form available via this link.
All youth/ youth groups in agribusiness are encouraged to fill this form by Thursday 16 March 2017, after-which we shall engage you in the county consultations on the Youth in Agribusiness Strategy and in the upcoming Youth in Agribusiness Conference scheduled to take place in May 2017. More information on the conference will be shared in due course.
Please pass this information to any of your networks so as to reach as many youth as possible who are engaged in agribusiness.
