Ruth Quaye - A young entrepreneur in Ghana

Ruth Quaye graduated from Ejura Agricultural College in 2012. Now she works in a private agribusiness that distributes agricultural inputs and products, such as fertilizer and pesticides, acting as the company's agronomist.

Nicholas Onwona comes from the Eastern Region of Ghana. He is building his skills as a young agriculturalist through his studies at Kwadaso Agricultural College. Nicholas has participated in the Internal Attachment Program (IAP) and Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship Project (A&E Project), both co-developed by the Kwadaso Agricultural College and Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB).

Enricka Julien has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness, Minors Gender and Development, Communication and Extension from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad. Currently, she is pursuing her Post Graduate Diploma in Land Administration with a focus on Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and how it can be used in the development of a National Land Policy framework.

Mirjana Ribic is an Agricultural engineer of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development by the University in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, she is doing her second year in a master in Rural Development and running a project supported by USAID and GEA - Center for Research and Studies on Serbian garlic´s production.

Abhay Kumar is a biotechnology researcher who works at ICAR - Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh in India.

In a Farmer’s Shoes: Professional Farming - Leading By Example

Emmanuel Ngore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at the Kenyatta University. Besides, he is a Programme Officer at United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and YPARD Kenya representative. Emmanuel has worked with the youth for 6 years on subject matters pertaining to conservation of natural resources, policymaking, and diseases prevention.

Giramahoro Guy Fleury is a 20 year-old Burundian that is in his first year of Business Administration at l’Université Lumière de Bujumbura. Besides this, he is currently driving a small project of goat farming.

Piggery farming or How to become a successful entrepreneur

Rafello Khongwar is a 30 years old graduate student in Agriculture from the Indian district of Ri-Bhoi. After finishing his studies, he started a piggery business which is still successfully running.

Jordan Medeiros was borned in the countryside of Rio Grande do Norte State, Brazil, in a city called Acari. He has an Agricultural Technician degree with the Escola Agrícola of Jundiaí – UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte) and he is currently studying Pharmacy at the same institution.

Web4Knowledge Internship at YPARD: Realising the potential of ICT in Agricultural Development

Madan Poudel studies at the Agriculture and Forestry University in Nepal. He has done a traineeship at YPARD during 7 months as a Web4Knowledge Intern and is a very active member within YPARD Nepal. He has participated to carry out different activities like the "Mushroom farming" project and to develop initiatives like the "AgriYouthNepal" network.
