With the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Girls in ICT 2012, the e-Agriculture team had the opportunity to meet with Marina Cherbonnier, YPARD's Web and Communications Officer, and discuss how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) present valuable opportunities for young women to strengthen their capacities and have a voice.

"Benefits presented on the video won't be effective until the environment enables young women to exploit ICTs at their optimum!" Marina highlights.

Also, YPARD (Young Professional's Platform for Agricultural Research for Development) recognizes the importance of encouraging more young women to enter into Agricultural Research for Development (ARD) by reaching them out through ICTs.
