Web 2.0 Learning Opportunity in Mauritius, 9-13 July 2012

The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA) in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture (University of Mauritius) and the Food and Agricultural Research Council (FARC) organised a workshop on Web 2.0 Learning Opportunity in Mauritius from 9-13 July 2012 at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mauritius, Reduit.

I was invited by the University of Mauritius to attend the workshop and provide technical assistance by sharing pratical examples on how I am applying Web 2.0 tools in Agriculture.

It has been a very enriching experience whereby I got the opportunity to share by experience using web 2.0 tools, learn how to use new tools from the trainers and also meet and interact with various stakeholders of the Agricultural sector in Mauritius.

25 participants were selected for this training and it is to be noted that most of them were young professionals (under 40 years) and are involved in the Agricultural sector.
