YPARD welcomes Martina Graf as the YPARD Europe coordinator for the recently established YPARD Europe Chapter. Martina will lead the development of the European network, creating a working group with the young professionals who have demonstrated their interest in working to shape the YPARD plan of action for Europe. 

Martina is based in Switzerland, holds a Bachelor of Science in International Agriculture and is currently undertaking a Master of life Sciences in Sustainable Production Systems in Agriculture, which covers both Swiss and tropical agriculture.

The YPARD Europe coordination office is hosted by the Bern University of Applied Science, School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (HAFL), Zollikofen, Switzerland.

Martina has a significant experience in teaching and connecting people. She is employed as a part-time scientific assistant in the unit of Master Studies, at HAFL and is a part time vocational school teacher in agriculture (plant and fodder production, ecology, milk production), in Berufs- und Weiterbildungszentrum Obwalden, Sarnen, Switzerland. She also has previous experience in Nicaragua, supporting the initiation of a pilot project for a supplemental irrigation system on coffee physiology, which involved the implementation of different trials and engaging with stakeholders.

Martina is a dynamic and solution-oriented person, a team worker as well as an independent worker, who is fond of change and challenges! We believe she will be a great asset, and will help to boost a fast flourishing YPARD Europe!
