Under the Visionary Leadership of Dr S. Ayyappan, Secretary DARE and DG ICAR and Dr. R. S. Paroda, Former Secretary DARE and DG ICAR and Chairman Haryana Kisan Aayog, a National Workshop on Foresight and Future Pathways of Agricultural Research through Youth in India was jointly organized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) New Delhi, India; Asia Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) Bangkok, Thailand; Trust for Advancement in Agricultural Sciences (TAAS) and Young Professional in Agricultural Research for Development (YPARD), New Delhi at NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi on March 1-2, 2013.
The National Workshop was focused on the ways and modalities to engage young agricultural professionals into satisfying and cutting-edge research for Agriculture Innovation System of Indias NARS, their role in research prioritization, decision making and policy formulation.
The Proceedings and Recommendations of the National Workshop have been published by Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture, ICAR, New Delhi.
