YPARD Nepal: Workshop on Basics of Project Management

YPARD Nepal is very pleased to announce the call for participation for their workshop on Basics of Project Management with focus on MS Excel, Power BI and their uses in project management.

The workshop will be the first in person event organized by YPARD Nepal after the Covid 19 pandemy and will be held in Dharan, Nepal, the 11th and 12th of June, 2022*. 

The main focus of the workshop is to enhance project management skills with the help of better data presentation. The workshop aims to educate the participants on some advanced features of MS Excel for data analysis including pivot tables and conditional formatting.

The workshop will also cover Power BI, a dedicated data visualization software from Microsoft. The participants would be trained on transforming, merging and modelling of data, as well preparation of interactive dashboard using Power BI.

On the core project management side, the workshop aims to introduce the participants to project management cycle and analyse Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. The workshop will also cover the concepts of project indicators; preparation of log frame and M&E plans.

You can register from 21st to 31st May, 2022. Remember that the workshop will only have 15 participants! If you are selected, you will be informed by 4th June, 2022.

 

The registration fee for students is Rs. 500 and for professionals is Rs. 1,000.

About the trainer

A permanent resident of Dharan, Abhishek Khadka has completed his master's degree in Food Science and Technology. He has worked in diverse areas and roles such as a lecturer, programme officer for post-disaster earthquake project, climate change, nutrition, agriculture, forestry, landscape restoration and business development consultant. He is also the Country Representative for YPARD Nepal and Programme Officer for YPARD Asia Pacific. He had published and presented many scientific articles on biopolymers. He is volunteering in Global Landscape Forum/Youth In Landscapes Initiative since 2018 in different roles. In his spare time he also assist to the Dairy Technology for Goldengate College, where he is a faculty member. He loves travelling to remote places and get in touch with the local communities and their culture.
