This is the final call for applications for the part-time University of Oxford PGCert in Ecological Survey Techniques to commence September 2014.
The final application deadline is 23 July 2014.
This course is taught online with a face-to-face week in Oxford during September and experiential field project, including fieldwork, undertaken in the spring and summer.
The online components of the course are available as a selection of the following modules, each is led by an experienced tutor and provides students with a space to ask questions and discuss the topic at hand:
- Field Techniques for Surveying Vegetation
- Data Analysis in Ecology: Statistics for Field Biologists and Ecologists
- Field Techniques for Surveying Mammals and Reptiles
- Field Techniques for Surveying Birds
- Field Techniques for Surveying Fish and Amphibians
- Field Techniques for Surveying Invertebrates
The course will be of value to practitioners, students and researchers across the environmental sciences that are seeking the skills and knowledge to undertake effective ecological surveys from planning stages through to delivery and reporting.
