Apply: Global Community Champions for Women’s Economic Empowerment

The Knowledge Gateway for Women’s Economic Empowerment was launched on 23 September 2013 and they are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and creative women and men, especially young people, to become “Community Champions” to lead online community management and advocacy around women’s economic empowerment. They are building a global community, which connects groups, networks and creates a collaborative environment, to support women’s economic empowerment.

As a Community Champion, you will get an opportunity to directly enhance your skills in online community management, build your own networks and deepen your expertise in women’s economic empowerment through exposure to key experts and leaders in this area. They are asking for 6-7 hours of your time per week for up to 6 months and you can work from anywhere with an internet connection. The online collaboration will be coordinated with the KG team.

The objective of this volunteer engagement is to develop the core network of women and men, especially young people, who are willing to learn and lead online community management and advocacy on women’s economic empowerment on the Knowledge Gateway platform. This will also help them make the platform driven by community champions through a collaborative approach.

Your volunteer input will help them achieve community collaboration, create an opportunity to bring issues that are far from the global attention and co-create solutions with a global community support.
In order to apply, please review questions and give them less than 250 words responses to each of these questions by 1 October 11 p.m. EST, 2013
