The Rural institutions and People’s Empowerment team (RIPE team) of FAO Social Protection Unit (ESP) is looking for an intern with Communications/Social Media background (or related field). This would be the job description:
- Contribute to preparation of the Rural Institutions and People’s empowerment team communication products (e.g. information notes, policy briefs)
- Undertake literature reviews on topics related to strengthening rural institutions and producer organizations at country level;
- Contribute to preparation of capacity development tools and materials;
- Contribute to the RIPE team website maintenance (upload web content, photo & videos)
- Contribute to online outreach and promotion of the team’s activities
- Contribute to the writing of press releases/video content
- Undertake other tasks as required.
- The intern should have excellent English and French language skills, strong knowledge and previous experience in communications/social media and gender equality issues. The knowledge of Spanish language would be an asset.
