Opportunities

The Inter-American Development Bank (BID) announces the Greenovators contest in partnership with EARTH University, the government of Costa Rica, and the Ibero-American General Secretariat. The contest aims to reward and promote projects of mitigation and adaptation to climate change led by youth. Specific areas of interest are education and awareness; energy efficiency; renewable energy; sustainable transport; sustainable business; resilient agriculture; and water resources. The contest is open to citizens of the 26 borrowing member countries of the IDB between 18 and 30 years old. Greenovators will award 30 prizes up to US$15 thousand each. The deadline for submissions is 14 August 2014.
