The Soil Association was formed in 1946 to create a better world – one where we farm responsibly, eat healthily and live in balance with the environment. Over the intervening 70 years we have championed organic farming and food, campaigned on a wide range of issues, innovated and delivered real change in the world. And now as a result of the EU referendum, our country faces crucial choices about how to shape the future of food, farming and the countryside.

The Soil Association was formed in 1946 to create a better world – one where we farm responsibly, eat healthily and live in balance with the environment. Over the intervening 70 years we have championed organic farming and food, campaigned on a wide range of issues, innovated and delivered real change in the world. And now as a result of the EU referendum, our country faces crucial choices about how to shape the future of food, farming and the countryside. 

So these are exciting times and we are at an exciting stage of our development with a hugely committed workforce of 250 employees across the UK and tens of thousands of like-minded individuals and businesses working towards a vision of positive change. Our Trustees sit at the heart of the charity’s governance and you will be a central figure playing a key role in implementing the Soil Association’s strategy, building a strong working relationship with the Chief Executive and senior staff and inspire ouHow to Apply All applications will be made to Reach in the first instance.
