YPARD Restoration Day 2025

On 1st November 2025, in Balitta–Kiwenda, Wakiso District, Uganda. YPARD in collaboration with its partners, will take bold climate action through a massive tree-planting campaign themed “2025 Trees for 2025 Years.”

Each tree symbolizes renewal, resilience, and our shared commitment to agroecological restoration. Together, we will restore once-forested community land in Balitta village while promoting biodiversity, soil health, and sustainable farming landscapes. In preparation of this day, several young people have generously donated the trees as sign of resilience among the youth and passion for agroecological resilience.

You too have got an opportunity to participate in this noble cause by:

1. 🌱 Joining us physically in the tree-planting activity.
2. 🌍 Participating remotely - plant a tree independently or as a group wherever you are and post your activity using #YPARDRestorationDay2025, and get featured on our event platforms.

✨ Special Activity: For every 50 trees you plant, you’ll get to name one tree, leaving behind a living legacy for future generations.
