The Road to COP30: What Mattered at the Subsidiary Bodies (SB) 62 in Bonn?

Background for this session

The 62nd session of the Subsidiary Bodies — also known as UNFCCC’s Bonn Climate Change Conference — serves as a halfway point between COP 29 in Baku and COP 30 in Belém. A significant focus will be on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) for climate finance, building upon the foundation laid at COP29, set to support developing countries in their climate action effort.

This session will highlight the main takeaways from SB62 while briefly reflecting on past policy fora engagements and showcasing  a short recap of YPARD’s policy engagements as MGCY over the last few months. The session will look ahead at COP30, with an eye on key political moments preceding: the Pre-COPs, HLPF, UNFSS+4 and others.
