120 farmers' organisations of 80 countries, met in Paris, midd. june 2011, in preparation of the G20, in order "to voice the viewpoint of the world’s farmers to the ministers of agriculture of the 20 most powerful countries of the planet."

The Jeunes Agriculteurs, a group of young french farmers up to 35 years old, took part in the organisation of the event.

 

"The G120 recognized the primary role of youth in preparing the turnover of generations in agriculture."


 Emphasize has been made on the necessity of the public policies to ''ensure adequate conditions of primary and technical education, investment, and access to land and markets for young farmers''.


Information and Communications Technologies (Internet, Mobile phones), more and more accessible, are particularly fundamental in order "to disseminate best practices to young farmers of the world" and "to tackle in the most appropriate way the numerous food challenges of the future".
