ICTs are especially important because they present agriculture as a more attractive field for young people, and facilitate information and networking to support Young Professionals in Agricultural Research. ICTs are used for agriculture in ways that are of special interest for young professionals, such as traceability. The experience of “Los frutichicos”, a research program with young professionals from different fields documents an example of this.
