The 8th Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI) Future Leaders Seminar (FLS) provided a platform for uniquely qualified youths to discuss how to influence the future development of Nigeria / Africa through values-based leadership. While sharpening their leadership skills, it reflected on Africa’s youth leaders and also network with other like-minded individuals by spurring them into committing to actions.

From FARA’s and YPARD-Africa’s standpoint, the Seminar provided a forum to discuss the role of African youths in driving agricultural development in Africa through the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). Within the CAADP Framework, African youths have a crucial role to play in catalyzing sustained agricultural growth. Further, one of the proposed NLI projects was related to YPARD-Africa’s activities in 2011. This activity is the development and documentation of video to increase awareness of agropreneurship opportunities among youths in Africa.
