Teagasc Post Doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 (PD2)-- Crop Biotechnology

The Teagasc post-doctoral programme provides training and development opportunities for early career scientists that enhances their experience of learning and equips them with the necessary skills for the next stage of their chosen career in research. The successful candidate will be integral to the success of a collaborative crop biotechnology project focussed on developing the capacity and efficiency of Ensifer-mediated transformation (EMT), a novel gene transfer system which can be used to improve the agronomic performance of major crop species. The post-doctoral fellow will be specifically involved in expanding the host range of EMT and identifying strategies to improve EMT’s efficacy. They will also play a central role in disseminating to stakeholders the potential of EMT and seeking new collaborations.

Candidates can access the Fellowship Programme Application form for this post on the Teagasc website at http://www.teagasc.ie/opportunities/postdoctoral/index.asp
